10th August 2008
Windsurfing: Felixstowe-Fludyers
Wind Direction: SW
Wind Stength:
Surf / Sea State: Quite bumpy
Air Temperature: 21
Sea Temperature: 18
Weather: sunny
Max Speed: 29.1 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 32.3 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

Ian phoned to say offshore at the Dip so I went to the Fludyers where it was cross-shore. Mark "wind killer" was rigging as I arrived and of course by the time I was on the water Mark was still rigging. Mark "mast breaker" was also out and a few other turned up with people on 4.5m to 5.5m. Sea gradually got bumpier. As wind picked up I depowered 5.2m, and at times could have done with 4.7m. Great runs in and out and some nice "waves" to turn off and smooth water in shore for some cracking gybes. Water was bumpy out there but still quite nice for Felixstowe. I suffered from blisters so wore some gloves which tired my arms and I gave up knackered after a little over 2 hours on the water and few breaks to recover. Drained of energy I had a bacon sarny, mars bar and cup of sweet tea the set off home. An excellent day's sailing.
